Enclosures and Housings

The three key elements to building a quality structure are performance, appearance and long life. These elements are integral to the design of Sarena Housing Systems. Our housings are insulated in order to prevent both heat gain and loss and are manufactured under our EN ISO 9001 quality system.
Materials used in Construction
The external surface has an isophthalic gel coat to prevent water absorption into the laminate. The insulating foam is zero ozone depletion polyurethane encapsulated within the glass fibre laminate, offered in either 25mm or 50mm thickness depending on insulation requirement.
Exterior Finish
To assist in retaining good external weathering, the surfaces of the side walls on standard housings are textured. All housings are easy to clean and require no other maintenance. While the standard colour is light grey, many other colours are available.
Sizes of Standard Modular Housings
The dimensions can be modified to meet specific needs, thereby offering manageable sections that can pass through buildings and be transported to their end location without employing any special mechanical handling equipment.
The maximum height offered is 2500mm, standard corner sections are 500mm in both length and width and standard side sections are 1 metre wide but all these dimensions can be reduced, thereby giving customers a wide choice of sizes. Should the original requirement for the housing plan size change after the actual installation, additional side and roof sections can be added at a later stage. Roof sections, either flat or pitched, are supplied to fit the dimensions of the panels.

Housing Assembly
Although the housings can be supplied with full assembly instructions, we also offer an on-site assembly service by our trained fitters. The roof and side fixings are included with all housings. Base fixings are supplied by Sarena when we are contracted to fit.
Alternative Structures and Sizes
We are able to offer a wide range of one piece or modular structures by using our unique tooling system. We stock moulds of various shapes and sizes suitable for individual requirements.
The modular housings can also be used as lean-to structures to be sited against a wall.
Additional Housing Fittings

We offer a choice of doors and locking systems on all housings. It is also possible to have natural light in housings by fitting UPVC double glazed windows. To facilitate ventilation within the assembled structure, a choice of vents can be located on either the roof or side panels. Both options incorporate a screened mesh to prevent the ingress of insects and rodents.
Housing Floors
When required, a floor can be provided in sections with a substrate being encapsulated within the laminate, thus ensuring long-term performance.
Areas of Suggested Use

With their flexibility, Sarena modular housing systems offer ideal protection for services and equipment. In addition the lightweight structure gives enhanced performance over conventional building materials and will also offer a reduction on loadings.
As all fixings are internal, the housings offer a surface almost impossible to climb onto, giving greater protection to the equipment or items stored within, and making them ideal for ground floor level positioning.
Should the structure need to be relocated, each section can be dismantled and moved for assembly at an alternative site. It is for this reason all the fixings provided are stainless steel.
Two Piece Housing
This design enables you to incorporate the base section into the main roof membrane. The top section is bolted onto the base frame with stainless steel fixings, allowing any services or equipment to be maintained or removed at any time.
Future Developments
In keeping with modern trends, we constantly develop variations on specific finishes and designs in order to offer bespoke structures for our customers.
